Come along on a virtual guided walk of the Great Louth Flood – On Friday 29th May 2020, we commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Great Louth Flood. Sadly many of the events that were organised for this day cannot now go ahead due to social distancing and the coronavirus crisis. However, we are delighted that Dr. Richard Gurnham has given Louth Town Council permission to use the guided walk that he has written to create a Virtual Guided Walk of the Louth Flood. The Town Council is grateful for the help given by the Louth Museum and also to Joshua Blakey for his help in recording the video footage. Follow the route in this virtual walk and find out what happened during that terrible day in 1920 when 23 people lost their lives.
