Help at the Food Bank

Food bank layout at Trinity Centre Maria Vincent helping out at the Food BankFollowing discussions with the Louth Food Bank, Louth Town Council have made another move to assist them by loaning them one of their staff, Maria Vincent, Assistant to the Town Clerk.  The Food Bank needed help keeping up with their administration at this time of crisis and the Council were pleased to offer Maria’s services.  She has stepped in and has been busy co-ordinating the requirements of people needing either food parcels or medications to be delivered.

To cope with the expected response to isolation and the lack of money over the next few weeks, the Food Bank has also been hard at work re-organising their system for putting food parcels together.  The new system speeds the process up and makes it much easier for volunteers who make the packages up for distribution.
