Following the launch of the brand new Festive Window Competition this year, Louth Town Council were delighted at the enthusiasm of businesses that took part.
Twenty-eight town centre businesses entered the competition, pulling out all the stops this year to decorate their windows with a cheerful festive theme. The outright winner was Lucks of Louth (Eastgate), second place Lakings (Eastgate) and third place Whole-istic (Update).
One of the judges on the Floral Working Group, The Mayor of Louth, Councillor Darren Hobson was bowled over with the high standard of entrants, and enthused “the additional Christmas atmosphere in the town centre created by the window displays will certainly have lifted the community’s spirit at a time when it is much needed. I am delighted that so many of the businesses took part, it certainly made our task of choosing the winners very difficult”.
