CIVIC PARADE AND CHURCH SERVICE

The Mayor of Louth, Councillor Mrs. Sue Locking and her Consort, Councillor Malcolm Locking welcomed to Louth Civic guests from around the County on Sunday 4th October 2015 when her Civic Parade and Church Service took place.  Local children from the Scouts and Guides groups congregated in Westgate where a procession was formed (including Mayors and Chairman from across the County).  The parade marched to St. James' Church where a Church Service took place which celebrated and gave thanks for the Mayor's year in office.  The day was given a Lincolnshire Day theme with Lincolnshire flags flying, performances of traditional appropriate music by the Alford Silver Band and several Lincolnshire Dialect readings given by Mr. Peter Mackinder.

This event is seen as a vital one in the Mayor's calendar, allowing her to showcase Louth to a number of influential people.  Excellent comments were received from all who attended.

The Mayor and Louth Town Council would like to thank everyone who took part for helping to make the day such a wonderful success.
