ANNUAL TOWN
MEETING 2007
 
May 8th 2007 saw
the Town Council host the people of Louth's Annual Town Meeting. This year saw
the biggest turn out in the Town's history with 235 attendees. Attendees
included 30 voluntary organisations on hand to meet and greet the public and
explain the role of their organisation and many members of the public
circulating. The Town Clerk opened the meeting and introduced the Mayor who
gave an overview of her year in office. The Town Clerk then gave the Town
Council's Annual Report after which Mr. Robert Bowe gave a short speech about
Town Plans and the Local Development Framework. Finally, the Town Clerk invited
the public to discuss and vote upon any issues they wished.
